Rapid Harness is a Windows desktop application that produces a full harness document set — 1:1 formboard, cut list, label list, BOM — in every plan, with a parts library linked to Octopart. It is priced per user, from $219 a month. Zorowire covers the same documents in the browser, adds a quote built from your labour times, and is priced per shop.

harness.design is a young browser and desktop tool (full release April 2026) with the most generous free plan we found: unlimited harnesses up to 100 connections, and a 1:1 formboard printed as tiled panels. Zorowire's free plan goes to 150 connections, keeps two revisions, applies your cut-length allowances and quotes the job.
Read the comparison →Zorowire vs Cableteque
Cableteque is quoting software for harness and cable contract manufacturers. It reads customer drawings with AI, builds the BOM and wire list, looks up prices at 30+ distributors with your own API keys and prices labour from your templates. Prices are set in a meeting; every plan includes a customer success manager and 20 hours of implementation. Zorowire publishes its prices, starts free and includes the formboard and the cut list.

WireViz is a free, open-source Python tool that turns a YAML description of connectors and cables into clear connection diagrams and a BOM. By design it does not draw a physical layout. Zorowire imports WireViz YAML and adds what a shop builds from: branch lengths, a 1:1 formboard, a cut list and a quote, in the browser.
Read the comparison →Zorowire vs Excel spreadsheets
Almost every harness shop runs on spreadsheets: a from-to list, a cut list, a BOM, a quote sheet. They are flexible and free to change, but each one is typed separately, so a customer change has to be made in every sheet. Zorowire reads your Excel list and builds the board, the cut list, the BOM and the quote from it, so they cannot drift apart.
Read the comparison →Zorowire vs Zuken E3.series + Harness Builder
Zuken E3.series is an enterprise electrical CAD suite for Windows. With E3.formboard and Harness Builder it covers formboards, cut lists, label-printer and tester outputs, machine exports and, since 2026, a Cost Estimator. The harness modules are priced on request on top of a per-seat lease from €164 a month. Zorowire is for shops that start from the customer's list rather than from a schematic.
