Clever harnesses,
from wire list
to board.
Enter the harness once: connectors, pins, wires and branch lengths. Zorowire lays out the 1:1 formboard, writes the cut list and the BOM, and prices the job from your own labour times. Change a wire and every document follows.
Runs in the browser on Mac, Windows and Linux · nothing to install
“Most harness tools charge per seat, stop at the drawing, and leave the price to a spreadsheet nobody updates after the customer's change. Zorowire keeps one record of the harness and builds the board, the cut list, the BOM and the quote from it, so they cannot disagree.”
Four steps. Zoro checks two of them.
From the customer's list to a quote and a board you can build on.
- 01
Bring the harness in
Drop in your Excel or CSV connection list and map the columns once, or type it into the connection table. Headers in English, German, Romanian and Polish are recognised. WireViz and harness.design files import too.
- 02
Check connections and parts
Before anything is drawn, Zoro lists what does not add up: an empty cavity, two wires on one pin, a gauge the terminal does not take, a sealed housing without its seal, a part without a part number.
- 03
Board and cut list
The harness lays itself out at true scale. Lengths come from the branches plus your allowances, and flow straight into the cut list and the BOM.
- 04
Quote and production pack
Material, labour, setup and margin for each quantity break, with every missing price and default time listed, and an RFQ checklist of what the customer still has to tell you. The production pack puts the cut list, BOM, pinouts, test checklist and board in one PDF. When revision B arrives, the diff shows which wires, lengths and parts changed.

Why Zorowire
Five differences we could check, with the source and the date behind each.

The quote comes from the harness
Of the self-serve tools with a published price that we checked on 30 October 2026, none prices a harness from its labour operations. Cableteque does quote with labour, after a sales meeting and with no public price. Zorowire counts the operations from your entry and prices them with your own times.

Cut lengths with your allowance rules
In our test harness, harness.design and HarnessHive gave the bare bundle sums as cut lengths, with no allowance setting. Rapid Harness added the connector insertion depth but had no splice allowance and no rounding. Zorowire applies your end and splice allowances, loops, slack and rounding, and prints the strip length, terminal and seal for each end.

One price for the whole shop
Shop is €79 a month for five users, and read-only viewers cost nothing. Five users on Rapid Harness Standard Team cost $6,599 a year as listed on 30 October 2026.

Your Excel list imports as it is
Map the columns once and Zorowire reads the list directly, with every assumption shown as a finding. harness.design documents its Excel import through an AI assistant; WireViz reads only YAML.

Every change shows its effect
Each revision is frozen. The diff lists changed connections and what they do downstream: every cut length, BOM line and operation count that moved. harness.design keeps revisions on Pro without a diff; we found no revision diff in Rapid Harness's version history.

Questions shops ask
- What is Zorowire?
- Zorowire is software for documenting and quoting wire harnesses and cable assemblies. You enter a harness once — connectors, pins, wires, branch lengths — and get the 1:1 formboard PDF, the cut list, the BOM and the quote from that one record. It is made for shops of roughly 5 to 100 people.
- What do I need to start?
- A connection list (which cavity connects to which, with which wire) and the branch lengths from the customer's drawing. If the list is in Excel or CSV, import it and map the columns; otherwise type it into the connection table. Parts can be picked from the library or entered as free text with a part number.
- Can it read my existing Excel lists?
- Yes. The importer reads .xlsx and .csv files, finds the header row, and recognises column names in English, German, Romanian and Polish. It understands combined endpoints such as X1:3, gauges in mm² or AWG, lengths in mm, cm, m, inches or feet, and IEC colour codes. Anything it had to assume is listed as a finding so you can correct it.
- Does the formboard really print at full scale?
- The PDF is drawn at 1:1, never fitted to the page, and asks the PDF viewer not to scale it. Every page has a 100 mm ruler: if it measures 96 mm, the printer was set to “Fit”. Print at 100 % or “Actual size”; if a printer is still slightly off, measure it once on the calibration sheet and save a correction for that printer.
- How is the quote calculated?
- Zorowire counts the operations in the harness — wires to cut and strip, terminations, seals, inserts, splices, covering lengths, tests — and multiplies them by the seconds in your labour table. It adds material from your price list with scrap, spreads setup over each quantity break, shows NRE separately and applies your margin. Until you enter your own times, the defaults are labelled estimates.
- Does Zorowire calculate current, voltage drop or fuse sizes?
- Yes, as engineering checks, separate from the Zoro checks on your data. They cover wire current capacity with ambient, bundle and altitude derating, voltage drop at each load, fuse and wire protection and contact current. Every result shows its source table, its assumptions and the margin, and reads “Engineering check — verify against the manufacturer's data and the applicable standard.” They are not a certification; the design stays your responsibility.
- Does it run on a Mac?
- Yes. Zorowire runs in the browser on macOS, Windows and Linux, with nothing to install. A desktop app for Windows and macOS is planned.
- Is it priced per user?
- No. Plans are priced per shop: Starter is one user, Shop includes five users, Pro fifteen. Read-only viewers on Shop and Pro are free, so the bench and the office can open the board without a paid seat.
- What happens to my data if I stop paying?
- Your shop drops to the Free plan. Every project stays readable and exportable; nothing is deleted. You can come back to a paid plan at any time.
- Does Zorowire certify harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620?
- No. Zorowire documents and prices what you enter. Acceptance criteria come from the standard your customer specifies and from your own process; Zorowire makes no compliance claims and does not control machines — machine files are exports.
Wire it right.
Bring one real job: a connection list and a recent quote. In the pilot we turn it into the board, the cut list and the price with you, and you tell us what is wrong.
